Corrected cabin logic
Rear interior is no longer blocked by the heater-core job.
The factory safety-pad removal sequence works through the front dash/cowl/console area. Rear seats, rear side/cargo trim and cargo floor are not called out.

Glass adjustment knowledge
Upper in/out — glass-guide stud bolts, adjusted equally.
Fore/aft — rear glass guide.
Vertical — door-glass stopper.
Forward/rear lean — equalizer-arm bracket bolts.

After glass adjustment, Toyota has you adjust the inner stabilizer and validate closed fit, weatherstrip engagement, stopper contact, trim-support gap, and smooth operation before installing the service-hole cover.
Toyota provides a separate front-door-to-body alignment procedure using hinge/striker adjustment. Because your door is already partially assembled but body alignment is known to be wrong, this planner puts body alignment ahead of final glass tuning so the glass is not used to compensate for a door-position error.
Heater core / dash branch
Diagnosis has its own task page.
It distinguishes Toyota’s factory pressure test from the cold preliminary test appropriate while the fuel leak prevents safe starting.

Exact front-cabin teardown footprint established so far
From Toyota's USDM A70 safety-pad procedure (1990 manual; applicability to your 1991 is carried as a verification flag).
Steering/dash lower area
Steering wheel/column covers, lower pad/under-cover and lower finish pieces.
Center / instruments
Center finish panel, combination meter, console box, heater control, radio/stereo.
Passenger / cowl
Glove-box components, both cowl trims, reinforcements.
Electronics / pad
EFI ECU and ESC ECU connections, safety pad, ducts/brackets and related harness connections.
R154-specific detail
The manual-transmission path explicitly removes the shift-lever knob during the dash/safety-pad sequence.
Not on this factory list: rear seats, rear cargo/side trim, cargo floor, headliner. v2 was too conservative here.
Heater core provenance / uncertainty
| Claim | Evidence level | Planner treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Safety-pad/dashboard removal sequence | TOYOTA TSRM | Hard procedural dependency. |
| Heater radiator part 87107-14170 for MA70 7M-GTE-era application | EPC-DERIVED | Parts candidate; exact build/VIN still verify before purchase. |
| Heater box/core comes out after dashboard access | A70 COMMUNITY + INFERENCE | Used for planning, but not presented as an extracted 1991 Toyota removal procedure. |
| Rear cabin must remain loose | REJECTED | No longer used. The Toyota dash removal sequence does not establish this dependency. |
Windshield · factory dependency chain
Important MA70-specific findings
The factory windshield removal procedure includes hood removal.
Your hood is currently attached, so windshield replacement is not quite as isolated as v2 implied.

Hardtop applicability
Toyota's reassembly specifically identifies the roof side-rail garnish step for vehicles without a sport roof, matching your hardtop.
New trim timing
Factory order is adhesive/set → leak test → windshield molding. Your decision to leave the brand-new molding off is exactly consistent with that sequence.
Molding clips
The Body section documents two clip types for windshield outside molding; add clip condition/count to the parts audit before installation.
Fuel leak / engine recommissioning
Engine start remains blocked while the fuel leak is active.
The seven-year storage interval plus known active leakage makes localization/repair a recommissioning gate, not a later cosmetic task.

Why not assume “injector O-ring”?
The factory injector-removal path disconnects the battery, drains coolant, disconnects 7M-GTE water/vacuum/ISC connections, removes intake/throttle-related hardware, disconnects injector wiring/fuel plumbing, then removes the delivery pipe and injectors.
Seal replacement detail
Toyota specifies new injector grommets/O-rings during installation and requires the injectors to rotate smoothly in the delivery pipe; a binding injector points to an O-ring installation problem.
Validation
The procedure ends with a fuel-leak check. The planner therefore treats “repair complete” and “leak check passed” as separate from merely replacing a seal.
Planner consequence: localize the leak before committing to the injector-rail branch. Your O-ring suspicion remains recorded as a hypothesis, not a diagnosis.
Kaminari wing / hatch wiring
Factory electrical anchor
The factory wiring documentation identifies the high-mount stop light in the back-door/floor harness system. The Body section also removes/reinstalls the high-mount stop-light cover as part of back-door molding work.
Exact connector pin mapping is still unresolved.
The app will not invent wire colors or pin numbers. Capture the OEM spoiler connector face/wire colors before repinning; that becomes the input for the next wiring-specific pass.

Interior current state
Installed / retained
Headliner — installed; no current factory dependency says to remove it for heater-core access.
Carpet + front seats — installed. Not automatically marked for removal by the dash procedure extracted so far.
Rear seats — positioned, not fully fastened.
Seat belts — not installed.
Rear side/cargo trim — loose.
Hatch interior trim — not installed; intentionally kept downstream of spoiler wiring in the planner.

Evidence rules used by this console
TOYOTA TSRM/EWD
Direct factory procedure, specification, routing, or component relationship.
EPC
Toyota catalog/application relationship. Build-date breaks should still be checked against the actual VIN/build plate.
MA70 INFERENCE
Planner logic derived from documented access/assembly state but not stated by Toyota as a project-management rule.
OWNER STATE
What you reported about this exact car.
VERIFY
Unresolved pinout, production break, diagnosis, or 1990→1991 applicability question.
Core repair-manual pages currently come from the 1990 North American A70 TSRM mirror. That is vehicle-family specific, but the console deliberately keeps a 1991 applicability flag where a production change could matter.
Vehicle / constraint state
Portable restoration state
The PWA retains JSON export/import so app upgrades and device migration can preserve your progress.
Task state and the dated work log are stored in this browser via localStorage. The top progress bar is weighted by modeled task hours; only tasks marked Done count as modeled completed hours. Actual labor is tracked separately from your time-log entries. Conditional repair branches enter total modeled scope only when activated. Exporting JSON backs up both task state and time history.

How v9 sync works
Local-first
Every task update and work-log entry is written to this device immediately. A lost connection does not prevent garage work.
One private project per account
The database row is protected by Supabase Auth + Row Level Security. Signed-out visitors to a70.tech cannot read your restoration data.
Realtime
When both devices are online and signed into the same account, an update on one device is pushed to the other automatically.
Conflict protection
If two devices make changes while disconnected, v9 stops before overwriting and asks which copy should win.
JSON backup remains available
Cloud sync is convenience, not a reason to remove portable backups.

Data on the installed app
Local-first + cloud synchronized
Task state, work-log entries, notes and constraints remain in browser/app storage for offline use. When Cloud Sync is configured and signed in, the same project is also synchronized to your private cloud row.

Moving from the current HTML file
Export JSON from v6 first. The hosted PWA has a different web origin, so the browser cannot automatically see the old file's localStorage. Import that JSON once after installing.
Backups
Continue using JSON export as the complete project backup. The CSV work-log export remains useful for time analysis.
Cloud sync
v9 includes Supabase Auth, database sync and Realtime updates. Configure cloud-config.js once on a70.tech, run the included SQL setup, and sign into the same account on each device.
